Le Pranayama est une discipline du souffle et un contrôle de la respiration.
Cette semaine est une étape importante parce qu'il marque le début du pranayama avec la première technique : anuloma ujjayi.
Dès le début des cours, vous avez découvert que la pratique des postures se font avec une respiration lente et profonde, synchronisée sur le mouvement.
Puis , il y avait le placement du contrôle particulier au niveau de la gorge avec " le son glottique " ou "ujjayi" ; à utiliser lors des séances.
Anuloma ujjayi :
A pratiquer en position assise : dos redressé, menton légèrement rentré.
- inspiration : par les deux narines en ujjayi
- expiration : par une seule narine en alternance.
Viloma ujjayi :
- inspiration : par une seule narine en alternance
- expiration : par les deux narines .
Pratiloma ujjayi :
- inspiration : 2 narines
- expiration : narine gauche
- inspiration : narine gauche
- expiration : 2 narines
- inspiration : 2 narines
- expiration : narine droite
- inspiration : narine droite
- expiration : 2 narines
Nadi shodana pranayama :
- inspiration : narine gauche
- expiration : narine droite
- inspiration : narine droite
- expiration : narine gauche

Today we are happily celebrating the 76th birthday of our teacher TKV Desikachar and we write to you with immense gratitude for the enriching teachings that he has shared with his students for more than 40 years.
TKV Desikachar has been instrumental for presenting yoga in its complexity to the world and was one of the first who widely introduced and established yoga therapy as an alternative and complimentary health care method. He has written numerous books on Yoga, opened the first yoga clinic and has helped and inspired numerous students and teachers around the world.
His principle has always been to teach every individual according to their needs and help them find their unique potentials. He is deservingly known as one of the most important Yoga Teachers of our time.
Please share our spirit of festivity and gratitude today and take a minute to honour this great man in your heart.
Our aim as an organisation that TKV Desikachar and his wife founded can only be to humbly pass on that what we have learnt from him to all of you.
